Sadaqah Qurbani Campaign Yemen 2022

Sadaqah Qurbani Campaign Yemen 2022

7 days

Help us feed the desperately poor and needy this Eid al-Adha by giving your Qurbani through Children’s Aid

We sacrifice animals following Islamic principles and distribute meat to those who need it most. Your Qurbani this year can fight hunger and bring much-needed smiles.

Eid al-Adha is sometimes referred to as Qurbani Eid and follows the completion of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.  Qurbani is obligatory upon every adult Muslim who has wealth in excess to his/her needs. Therefore, normally those who are eligible to pay Zakat are obliged to give Qurbani.

Qurbani means sacrifice. Every year during the Islamic month of pilgrimage known as Dhul Hijjah (or more commonly Hajj), Muslims around the world slaughter an animal to reflect the Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail, for the sake of Allah (SWT).

The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah (the 10 best days) are the most sacred days of the year, loved by Allah (SWT). Therefore, by giving to Children’s Aid, you can reap the rewards of this blessed month, as Allah (SWT) tells us in the Holy Qur’an:

“So turn in prayer towards your Lord and sacrifice.” (108:2)

Children’ Aid under our NGO “Human cooperation foundation for the care of people with special needs” now offer to fulfil this vital obligation for all Muslims.  By giving your Qurbani through us not only will you ensure that you reap the rewards of the most sacred time of the year but you also ensure desperately poor and impoverished families can eat.

We guarantee that only healthy young animals are chosen for slaughter and that they are correctly sacrificed in line with Islamic practice and guidance.   After the animal has been sacrificed, its meat is then distributed amongst orphanages and the poor and needy communities in Yemen. We can assure you that every part of the animal is utilised and there is next to no wastage.

Your Qurbani donation will cover:

  • Purchasing of healthy young animals
  • Feeding and looking after them for up to 3 days
  • Slaughtering in line with Islamic practice and guidance
  • Cutting up the meat and portioning into bags
  • Distributing to the poor.

In addition:

The skin of the animal is donated to the local Masjid who then sell it to leather factories and get funding for the Masjids various projects.

The remaining parts of the animal such as the stomach and intestines are given to the workers that help with the slaughtering and skinning the animals.  They utilize these parts of the animal for their own dietary needs.

This way we ensure the animal is fully utilized and next to nothing goes to waste.

By offering a second, Prophetic Qurbani, you will be doubling your impact, feeding more people during the blessed days of Eid al-Adha. Don’t miss out on these rewards!
